ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I was one of the pioneers of gluten-free cookbooks.  I have traveled throughout the country speaking to celiac and autistic support groups, and have been a featured speaker at GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group) and CSA (Celiac Sprue Association) National Conventions.

I have written five gluten-free cookbooks and have personally created, cooked, and tasted every recipe in each of my cookbooks.  These books were a labor of love and I am proud of the results.  My goal was to help celiacs realize that maintaining a gluten-free diet does not mean you have to give up your favorite foods; you just have to make them a little differently now.  I have accomplished this.

Wheat-free Gluten-free
Cookbook for Kids and Busy Adults

"This book is fresh, easy to follow and, most importantly, Connie approaches it with humor.  The feeling that you experience going through her  recipes is that cooking gluten-free is really easy -- so much so that you ask yourself: "That's it?" Dr. Alessio Fasano, Center for Celiac Research, University of Maryland

"The first sentence of the book, "Eating gluten-free means that you may eat almost everything...." exemplifies the positive attitude found throughout.  Whether the chef in your house is 5 or 105, this book is an inspiration for enjoying time in the kitchen -- even if that time is limited -- as well as for making nutritious, delicious gluten-free concoctions!  I'm sincerely impressed with the book and love the optimistic approach!"  Danna Korn, Founder of R.O.C.K. (Raising Our Celiac Kids

Newly Diagnosed Survival Kit

"There IS life after going gluten-free!"

"I was overwhelmed when I was told my daughter and I had Celiac Disease.  I was so confused about where to look for hidden gluten, what to pack for lunches.  Your conversion hints are amazing and have helped so much -- my desserts actually taste good now!  I thought I had removed gluten from my home, but after reading the 'Survival Kit', I was surprised to see how many places in my kitchen were still contaminated.  This book has taught me so much.  I can't thank you enough."  Sherry B., KS
